Tomorrow will mark a new journey for me, or rather, refreshing my eating habits. Years ago, I became a lacto-ovo vegetarian and loved the results.
To make a long story short, I was happy, healthy, and at a goal weight. I got married to the love of my life and became a mom in a very short period of time. Clean eating went out the window because I viewed it as too time consuming with a new baby and a husband who is, in no way, interested in becoming a vegetarian or eating clean. So this journey starts with myself. I am currently 178 pounds. I hide it VERY well, because I still have a very womanly figure, and, believe it or not, still look lean in most areas. So, my current goal is to weigh 170 or below...I know, baby steps. The baby step of 8 pounds is a very important goal for me. I hope that I can reach it in 2 weeks.
Pros of clean eating for me:
I LOVE fruits and veggies! Any way that I can get them.
I prefer lean, white meat such as chicken and turkey.
Eat more, weigh less.
Cons of clean eating for me:
I am a Coca-cola addict
I LOVE sweets
I LOVE fried foods
I'm sure both lists will grow as I continue on this journey, but I determined to look better, feel better, and eat well. I will try to post my meals, snacks, and experiences as I make this journey into a lifestyle.
